Low participation of a family office with focused investments in the DACH area Our client is a family office based in Bayern/Raum München, which professionally controls and accompanies complex asset structures for selected entrepreneurial families, foundations and wealthy private customers. The organization combines classic asset management expertise with participation and entrepreneurial logic in a small, collegial team. In the area of private markets – direct investments, co-investments, PE funds and real assets – the function is strategically re-established and is institutionally integrated into the family office's investment architecture. The aim is to systematically and analytically increase participation activities to a new level of quality and consistently integrate them into the overall asset strategy of the supervised families. In order to strengthen the investment team, an analytically strong private market personality is sought, which is responsible for and actively develops the organization's content of investment and participation in the illiquid sector.

Contentful investment and participation competence in the field of private markets - design task with analytical depth The Manager Private Markets (m/w/d) is responsible for the systematic analysis and evaluation of investment opportunities in illiquid – private equity, co-investments, direct investments, real assets and infrastructure. He/she accompanies existing and future investments in the strategic direction with external management, pursues economic development and prepares investment decisions for the Investment Committee and the supervised client families. Another focus is on the selection and ongoing monitoring of external fund managers: structured selection process, due diligence, manager assessment and ongoing quality assurance. The Manager Private Markets (m/w/d) integrates the participation activities into the overall asset strategy of the supervised families – in close coordination with the Head of Investments and the Managing Director. He communicates complex investment expertise in a comprehensible and addressable manner to the Investment Committee and the Board of Trustees. The role offers real design space: Private Markets is more institutionalized – who takes over this position builds structured analysis and selection processes and positions private markets as a respected, integral part of the Family Office's investment architecture.

Analytically strong private market personality with experience in equity management You have a completed university degree as well as several years of professional experience in the field of private markets – ideally from a single or multi-family office, a private equity house, a fund-of-friends platform, a real asset investor or an entrepreneurial family holding company. Relevant qualifications (CFA, CAIA or the like) are welcome. You bring deep expertise in the analysis, evaluation and support of illiquid investments: private equity (funds and direct investments), real assets, infrastructure, co-investments. Experience in the structured fund manager selection – due diligence process, manager assessment, ongoing performance monitoring – we presume. You have high analytical competence and strong judgment: You penetrate investment structures, fund concepts and investment themes quickly and securely and prepare complex facts clearly and in a decision-making manner. At the same time, you communicate in a comprehensible and address-oriented manner with respect to investment committee and client families. Personally, you are convinced by integrity, discretion and team capacity. Important: The role is explicitly not a sales and no managing director function – a content-based private-market expert is being sought, which develops the effect on the quality of his analyses and recommendations and is the ongoing Sparring partner of the operating management of the holdings. Very good knowledge of German and English is required. The attractiveness of this task lies in the ability to institutionalise the private market sector in a family office near the owner with high investment DNA – in an environment that places content on product logic and estimates real expert opinion.
