Depending on the applicant's situation, an additional temporary allowance of up to EUR 1,500 may be considered monthly. The Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks (BImA) is the real estate service provider of the federal government, which supports the federal government's real estate policy objectives and provides the necessary areas and buildings for almost all federal authorities. Accordingly, we are represented throughout Germany with more than 7,000 employees and take care of a very broad and colorful real estate portfolio as well as the ecological use and care of the federal nature areas. For these versatile and responsible tasks we are looking for innovative heads that think and act sustainably. With the management and continuous optimization of the IT infrastructure, we ensure secure and smooth digital processes in the Information Technology business unit. As a modern IT unit, we advise on all content, process and economic issues. We continuously develop the BImA’s “digital nervous system”. We need you for that! Do with us BImA! Division 1 “IT strategy and cross-section tasks” provides the basic framework for work within the IT division. We coordinate the strategic orientation of the IT division, have an overview of the IT, data and application architecture, and support all disciplines of the IT division from quality management perspective, as well as data protection, IT security and security. You play a central role in the design and implementation of data products throughout the entire life cycle in close cooperation with specialist departments and IT. Our goal is to create added value for BImA through high-quality data products, in particular with the focus on future business intelligence and AI solutions. You work closely with different stakeholders and implement our product vision.

Analysis of existing data structures, relevant user groups and their needs Collection of use cases in cooperation with the departments Development of data products and long-term roadmaps, coordinated with corporate goals and IT strategy Definition of data products (e.g. dashboards, reporting solutions, data pipelines, feature sets, data models, APIs) Defining and implementing quality rules, data contracts and ownership models Intermediation between user value, technical feasibility and data restrictions Planning and monitoring of integration into existing IT systems (e.g. BI reports, operational applications, APIs, AI solutions) Change management, stakeholder communication and training to increase user acceptance We work mobile and flexible. However, on occasions on the service/workplace, service trips may be incurred. These missions are generally planned with sufficient chronological advance, so that the reconciliation of family and occupation is guaranteed.

Education: Completed academic studies in computer science, economic informatics, economic engineering, data science or comparable qualifications. As an alternative, a career qualification for the higher non-technical service. Experience: You have several years of experience in product management, ideally in the data or AI environment. Excellent communication strength and the ability to mediate between technicality and technology, to work reliably and to make complex facts understandable are your strengths. Knowledge and experience in IT law and IT compliance, knowledge in data protection and information security as well as knowledge in technical English are available. You also have knowledge and experience in multi-)project management (e.g. according to PRINCE, SCRUM, PMI or V-model). Know-how: You have practical experience with relational and NoSQL databases as well as ETL processes as well as well as sound knowledge in data analysis, data management and data visualization (e.g. Tableau or Power BI). Furthermore, programming knowledge in Python or R and a basic understanding of SQL should be present. Personality: Self-employed, structured work, self-responsibility and a strong interest in data-driven enterprise management are of course for you.
