Train maintenance (m/f/d)
Our trains in the Miniatur Wunderland need a lot of love! Our rolling material is traveling many kilometers every day, day and night. The fact that a car is contaminated, that a current collector no longer works properly or that an illumination fails is almost natural. That's why we have the train maintenance. We ensure that our trains not only drive, but also remain technically and optically in the best shape. With a lot of attention to detail, patience and joy in the common hustle and bustle, we take care of our cars and ensure that they are reliably on the move.

Your tasks • Your profile • What we offer
Our 1:87 scale cars deserve real attention. You take care of your maintenance, care and repair. You check current recordings and current collectors, exchange faulty parts and take care of lighting and other technical equipment. With new and old sections, you build cars and trains for driving, complete trains and equip vehicles. Then check the trains in the trial operation. You are looking for faults, find the cause and develop suitable solutions to reliably drive the vehicles back into the driving mode. You will learn how to operate the control system on the control panel so that you can not only fix errors, but also recognize them.
You don't need technical training, but professional experience is desirable in a technical environment. We need curiosity, patience and joy in filigree detail work. You have a good eye for small things and also work carefully and focused on tricky tasks. You like to try out different ways of solving and enjoy working on new topics. Experiences from hobby, model construction, precision mechanics, electronics or other areas where accurate and creative work is required are super, but not a must. You bring a certain technical affinity and a basic understanding of how technical things work. Since some components of our trains are of electrotechnical nature, you should not have any fear of touch with the topic of electricity. We'll teach you everything you need to know for our train maintenance. Teamwork is important to you: you like to work with others, share your knowledge and support your team, just as you support yourself. If you get photographed or filmed at your work, you'll stay cool. No need to panic, you don't have to bring acting skills. English at least C1
