You are responsible for the legal advice and support of the Group companies in data protection law and adjacent legal areas (in particular IT law) You are an internal contact person in all departments, in particular IT and information security, in day-to-day business and in projects on data protection law The creation, testing, negotiation and maintenance of data-protection-relevant documents (including contracts, guidelines, procedure list) is one of your tasks, possibly in cooperation with our external data protection officer You support affected departments in data protection processes (including data protection incidents, requests for information) You coordinate cooperation with our external data protection officer Observing relevant legislation (in particular EU legislation) and preparing recommendations for implementation also falls within your competence In addition, the processing of general, primarily civil and economic processes is one of your tasks The central legal department supervises the Group companies of the Funk Group in the various legal matters relating to a medium-sized company in the insurance industry, in particular in matters of general economic and contractual law, supervisory and commercial law, data protection and IT law and insurance (makler) law. In addition, the monitoring of cross-departmental projects, as well as the monitoring of relevant legislation and case law, and the internal communication of recommendations for action derived therefrom, are part of the tasks of the legal department.

You have at least the first legal state exam (at least ‘satisfactory’) Ideally, you bring professional experience in a legal activity related to data protection with Knowledge in other jurisdictions (such as IT law, competition law) are advantageous You have a strong IT affinity and interest in new technologies (KI) You work independently and are characterized by “Hands-on” mentality Your knowledge of English is reliable in word and writing
