Your duties The Mobile Work Machines Group develops future-oriented machine and assistance systems to address global challenges such as demographic change and increasing sustainability requirements. The focus is on the further development of efficient and flexible drive systems based on holistic, digitally networked system approaches. In particular, innovative drive concepts, for example for excavators, are developed conceptually, systematically examined and evaluated in terms of efficiency, sustainability and practicality. Future construction and agricultural machinery is increasingly acting as part-autonomous or autonomous, intelligently networked and integrated into digital infrastructures in order to sustainably increase productivity, energy efficiency and resource conservation. In this context, holistic digitalization concepts are becoming increasingly important as You form the basis for networked processes, data-based optimization and efficient system integration. Within the framework of their activities, you will be dealing with a selection (!) of the following topics: Development of sustainable systems and evaluation of innovative drive concepts holistic system design of cyber-physical and automated machines Machine-to-machine interaction and networked system architectures Intelligent environment detection by sensor technology, sensor fusion and data-based analysis (including machine learning) Simulation and model-based development with digital twins General tasks as a researcher (w/m/d) include: Editing public and industrially funded projects Communication of research results and acquisitions of new projects Writing publications on research results, research applications and reports Support for teaching Support for student work and guidance for student assistants

Complete technical-nature studies (master or comparable): Mechanical Engineering, CES, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science Knowledge of information and communication systems Programming or simulation skills Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering, construction and fluid technology desirable Structured work, creativity and interest in new topics

The employment is in the employment relationship. The body shall be occupied at the earliest possible date and shall be limited to one year. An extension to a total of at least 3 years is envisaged. The temporary employment is carried out within the framework of the time-limits of the science-time contract law. It is a full-time job. There is a doctoral opportunity.
