Senior Project Manager High Voltage Substation and/or Transmission Line Projects

As a project manager*in – high-voltage switchgear and transmission lines, you assume the overall responsibility for the successful implementation of complex engineering projects, thereby ensuring technical excellence, economic success as well as compliance with customer requirements and regulatory requirements. You work in multidisciplinary, international teams and coordinate resources as well as stakeholders across all phases of the project. With your profound knowledge of the German energy sector and your experience in EPC projects and/or consulting companies It is crucial for the successful implementation of projects that are crucial for the development of modern energy infrastructures. This position offers you the opportunity to run projects with high strategic importance and at the same time to expand your expertise in project management, technical coordination and stakeholder management within a dynamic and continuously evolving energy market. As a project manager at Arup, you will: All phases of projects in the field of high-voltage switching systems and/or transmission lines control – from project initiation to commissioning – and thereby ensure the timely, budget-compliant and quality-oriented implementation. The commercial and contractual aspects of the projects are responsible, including risk management, contract negotiations and compliance with customer-specific requirements. Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules as well as coordinate international multidisciplinary teams and resources to reach project milestones. Collaborate with customers, subcontractors, specialist planners and authorities and ensure effective communication and coordination across the entire project life cycle. Create and present regular project reports, presentations and documentation for senior management and customers.

We are looking for a proactive and dedicated personality who wants to become part of our energy team at Arup Germany. Ideally, you will bring: Master's degree (or equivalent degree) in electrical engineering or a related field. At least 10 years of experience in the management of projects in the field of high-voltage switching systems and/or transmission lines. Extensive experience in project execution in the energy sector, ideally in EPC environments and/or engineering and consulting companies. Knowledge of the German energy industry and the regulatory environment. Technical expertise in high-voltage systems (primary and/or secondary technology). Representative leadership and team management skills as well as the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams. High commercial understanding and sound knowledge in contract management. Excellent organisational, planning and problem solving capabilities. Embossed communication and stakeholder management skills. German language skills (C1) and good English skills.
