The neurology of the Main-Spessart Lohr Clinic operates 40 beds, 7 of them on the certified Stroke Unit. The whole spectrum of neurological diseases is treated. 1600 patients are treated in a stationary manner annually. Intensive patients are provided at the interdisciplinary intensive care unit. All modern diagnostic methods are available: extra- and transcranial Doppler and duplex sonography, EEG, EMG/ENG, evoked potentials, FEES and neuropsychological diagnosis (through a neuropsychologist working at the house). The imaging diagnostics with CT, CT angiography/perfusion and MRT are carried out 24/7 in the associated radiological / neuroradiological practice at the clinic. The Main-Spessart Clinic is an academic teaching hospital at the University of Würzburg. Neurology is a founding member of the TRANSIT-Stroke Network and the Neurovascular Network of Lower Franconia. The neurological department participates in multicentric studies (sleaf and dementia). A trained Study Nurse is available for support. The district of Main-Spessart and the Free State of Bavaria will have an investment of over 160 million over the next three years. Create a completely new state-of-the-art, innovative hospital here in Lohr. The construction of a biplane angiography plant is planned in the new building. The construction process of the new Central Hospital has already begun. In this new clinic, neurology will operate a normal station as well as a Comprehensive Stroke Unit attached to the interdisciplinary intensive care unit.

Your duties

In the neurological department, a speech lesson for neuroimmunology/multiple sclerosis is to be established. This outpatient offer is intended as a starting point for diagnosis and therapy of multiple sclerosis and related neuroimmunological diseases. In the course of the speech, diagnoses are to be secured, patients are advised about immunotherapeutics, therapies are initiated and monitored. Their task would be to set up and run the special meeting.

· Specialist (w/m/d) for neurology with doctoral degree (desired), ideally focusing on multiple sclerosis/neuroimmunology · Comprehensive expertise in the wide range of neurology · Additional name for intensive medicine desirable, but no condition · An open and responsible personality · Interest in the co-design of neurology in the new central clinic and in new developments in the field · Joy in the training of medical staff · Participation in medical background services of neurology
