Your training as a machining mechanic takes 3.5 years. During this time you will learn everything you need for your later field of application at Corning and at the vocational school. You will learn this in training as a machining mechanic*in: Evaluate material properties and select materials after their use Ensure the operational readiness of machine tools and production of workpieces and components Applying IT systems for order planning, processing and time tracking in compliance with data protection regulations Knowledge and benefits of assistance, simulation, diagnostic and visualization systems Inspect, care and maintenance of equipment Evaluation of control-technical documents and application of control technology Entering, testing, changing and optimizing programs for CNC machine tools or manufacturing systems Finishing of workpieces with cutting-edge production methods by technical documentation Applying operational quality assurance systems and systematic search, eliminating and documenting quality shortcomings
