IT System Architect Telecommunications & Networks – Fixed-term contract until 31.12.2028 (a*)

Design and further development of our ICT networks in the areas M2M, VoIP, LAN, WLAN, Internet and VPN shape your area of responsibility. In close cooperation with the departments, you align the TK and IT infrastructure with the current and future requirements of the company. The conception, administration and optimization of network, VoIP and security infrastructures are one of your tasks as well as ensuring a stable operation. In addition, you introduce your know-how in infrastructure projects and advise on all issues relating to modern ICT solutions. In your area of responsibility, support is provided for building and operating campus communication infrastructures (Cisco-based SDA environment) and data centers (Cisco ACI), Cisco ISE. The construction and operation of modern campus and data center networks as well as the further development of network automation with Infrastructure as Code also fall into your task area.

A completed scientific study, ideally in an STEM field, or a comparable qualification forms your technical basis. Multiannual professional experience in the TK and IT infrastructure has given you a broad and sound understanding of modern ICT networks. Knowing topics such as M2M, IoT, private APN, IPv4/IPv6, VoIP as well as routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VXLAN and EPVPN will help you safely. Practical experiences with platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet or Cisco are just as beneficial as first touch points with Git, Ansible or Terraform. A conceptual, structured and independent way of working, combined with communication strength, strategic vision and solution orientation, complete your profile.
