Rail Management Consultants International GmbH has been a nationally and internationally committed company in the field of rail traffic management as well as software development and distribution for over 25 years. As a consulting company, we advise contracting authorities and railway companies on railway and infrastructural topics. Our competent and interdisciplinary team consists of engineers with a focus on transport, mobility and the environment, as well as software development and IT experts. Our innovative IT solutions for a digital and climate-friendly future of the rail are now in use with our RailSys® Software Suite worldwide for railway companies in over 35 countries. For the support of our internal and external IT as well as our software installations, we are looking for a location in Hannover IT-Administrator (m/w/d)

You are responsible for the planning, commissioning, operation and monitoring of IT infrastructure in the home and with customers. In doing so, you develop measures and concepts for system-side optimization and further development of systems for establishing an efficient and stable system operation. As a team member, you are actively working in challenging international projects, and you are starting concepts and accompanying the implementation. As a 1st and 2nd level support, you solve problems in direct contact with internal and external users. You create and update configuration and operating documentation.

You have a training as a specialist informatics or a degree in the field of computer science/mathematics or business informatics. You are interested in innovative information technology for the field of transport and mobility with a focus on rail transport and want to make your personal contribution to a digitalized and climate-friendly future of the rail. You have first knowledge or experience in planning, placing and maintenance of IT networks, IT hardware, operating systems and databases. You have experience in the independent administration of complex Windows system environments (Windows Server from 2008, Exchange, Active Directory) and virtualization tools such as VMware ESX, Citrix, vSphere and RDWeb. The handling of MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) is a matter of course for you. You have will strength and endurance in your independent and targeted way of working. With your team and communication skills, you drive the common goal forward. Your very good language skills in German as well as English or another foreign language will let you find the right words in word and writing at any time.
