Number: MER0003PH8 As a team of actuator systems and hardware integration, we are working on the control, regulation and monitoring of future car drive trains. With our concepts and series solutions for actuator systems, we are integrated into all developments of hybrid and e-drive drive trains. The simulation is an integral part of the digital development in our team. The aim is to support the development process early with stressable results and to contribute to the general system understanding. By simulation, hardware variants can be reduced, quality and stability increased and the process duration can be significantly shortened. Our used software tools are Modelica/Dymola, Matlab and Python. For the simulation we use our own developed multi-physical library, which is continuously maintained and expanded. In addition, we develop tools to automate simulations and efficiently prepare data for further use. As part of the team, you will participate in current challenges and support our daily tasks. During your 6-month internship, we provide you with deep insights into the development and simulation of future Mercedes-Benz drive systems and actively experience the everyday life of a development engineer/development engineer. These challenges include: Own-responsible implementation, plausibility and evaluation of simulation and optimization calculations
Developing tools for data analysis and data provision for simulation
Validation of simulation results using measurement series and development measures
Support for calibration and further development of simulation models for internal multi-physical libraries
Alternative modelling possibilities of electrical, hydraulic or mechanical components
Implementation and evaluation of vehicle and test bench measurements
Presentation and documentation of own work results
The internship can start from 01.10.2025.
Study programme in the field of engineering or a comparable degree programme
Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing
Safe handling of MS Office
Commitment and team skills
Analytical thinking and strategic working
Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and/or aerodynamics of advantage
Simulation experience desirable
