Head of Construction and Project Purchasing for PETRA IV (m/f/d)

Our institute grows – and with it the requirements for professional procurement. As the head of the purchasing and project purchasing group and head of large-scale purchasing projects, you take over the leadership responsibility for a central competence team, develop innovative procurement strategies and establish an efficient contract management that meets the high demands of our research projects. Your tasks include conducting the specialist group professionally and disciplinely, and in particular managing the planned large project PETRA IV on the purchase side. This includes: Strategic orientation is responsible for the development, implementation and continuous development of the specialist group strategy, including the definition of priorities, objectives and measures for the sustainable professionalisation of purchasing

leadership and team development: specialist and personal management of the employees of the purchasing group; You guide, advise and support your team in the operational day-to-day business, conduct assessments and promote individual development

Promoting organisational development: optimizing and maintaining business processes, tools, methods and internal rules to ensure efficiency, transparency and quality in all shopping processes

Designing basic and legal issues: working on complex legal issues in procurement and developing future-oriented, strategic principles in close coordination with internal departments and operations

Management of procurement and contracting: auditing of procurement documents, ensuring the legally secure implementation of all procurement processes and further development of modern contract management.

Advice to the Management Committee: Strategic advice on procurement and procurement issues; Creation of sound decision templates

completed university studies – ideally in civil engineering, industrial engineering, business or administrative sciences or legal sciences or a comparable subject; an equivalent qualification with relevant professional experience Funded knowledge in public procurement and procurement law, in particular in the field of construction and planning services (VgV, VOB/A, HOAI), as well as experience in the application of complex procurement regulations Multiannual professional experience in purchasing, preferably in the purchase of construction or projects, combined with a safe handling of tendering and award processes First or demonstrably strong leadership experience, including the ability to develop, motivate and guide employees through change processes Strategic competence and design will: You are able to develop product group strategies, process landscapes and organizational structures in a future-oriented manner Analytical and conceptual strength: You can accurately capture complex situations, translate them into practical concepts and develop sustainable solutions Sovereign occurrence and communicative competence, in particular in exchange with internal stakeholders, external partners and the Executive Board High responsiveness and an independent, structured and result-oriented way of working Team orientation and service awareness combined with the ability to build sustainable cooperation in an interdisciplinary research environment
