Head of our social services (m/f/d)

We are one of the major employers in the region and as a modern clinic and apprenticeship hospital of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum we are responsible for psychiatric care in the regional catchment area of Wuppertal, Remscheid and Velbert. Together with over 1,200 employees, we provide psychiatric care in the region. We are looking for a lead (m/w/d) of our social service at the next possible time.

In this position, you take responsibility for the advice and care of our patients and residents of all areas and organize the daily challenges of the hospital everyday with your existing staff team. We are looking for you as: Senior Consultant (m/w/d) We offer an unlimited working relationship in full time for our campus in Remscheid

Responsible management of the Department of Social Services in the hospital area for all locations for approx. 35 employees Central contact person on all topics of social service in the house Close interdisciplinary cooperation with the medical, nursing and therapeutic team as well as with the clinic management Consultation and support of patients as well as members on social, financial, legal and psychosocial issues Initiation of medical rehabilitation and/or organisation of stationary or outpatient care after dismissal in cooperation with the relevant internal and external persons in the clinic, in institutions, services, authorities, etc. Network management and cooperation with external partners, e.g. rehab facilities, cost-beneficiaries and social services Control and development of social services concepts and processes in healthcare Ensuring and documentation of social services (e.g. retirement management, SGB V/IX/XI)

Complete studies in the field of social work or a comparable degree in social and healthcare Professional experience and ideally first management experience in the field of social and hospital environment as well as in the field of psychiatric care system Representative leadership and team competence Empathy, organisational skills and solution-oriented work in the hospital everyday Safety in dealing with common documentation software and digital tools in the healthcare sector Communication strength, especially in dealing with patients, medical service and nursing staff Experience in managing authorities and administrations
