Workshop Manager Canada (m/f/d)

Your tasks include the professional and disciplinary leadership of the workshop staff and the organisation of efficient personnel deployment. You plan, control and prioritize the workshop orders, taking into account quality, costs and schedules, and define the necessary technical and organizational processes. In addition, you evaluate the medium-term capacity requirement based on the projected workshop orders and agree with RMC management. In addition, you support the selection and procurement of necessary tools, facilities and special equipment and are responsible for their maintenance and repair. In addition, ensure the implementation of operational and legal requirements in the workshop area, in particular with regard to working hours. In addition, you coordinate the interfaces between workshop, purchasing, logistics, engineering and clients and ensure a smooth flow of information and work.

You have completed technical vocational training in the motor vehicle, commercial vehicle or mechanical engineering sector with further training to the master (e.g. motor vehicle industry master) or state-tested technicians; as an alternative to studying mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering or mechatronics. Alternatively, you will bring several years of professional experience in the armaments industry or maintenance of heavy vehicles or complex technical systems. First management experience in a workshop or maintenance environment as well as sound knowledge in the maintenance of heavy vehicles, machines or special technology are the key features. Ideally, you have knowledge of Leopard 2 and family vehicles as well as a strong technical understanding in mechanics, hydraulics, electrical engineering and diagnostic systems. Very good MS Office knowledge, especially Excel, as well as very good English knowledge are provided; German language skills are of advantage. Your profile is rounded off by a structured, resilient and organizationally strong way of working as well as business understanding.
