Project manager for photovoltaic industrial and commercial roofs (m/f/d)

We plan and implement sophisticated photovoltaic and battery storage projects for industrial and commercial customers. For our team, we are looking for a project manager (m/w/d), who supports projects in a holistic manner – from the first call to the tender phase to the successful implementation and handover to our customers.

Over position

In this key role you combine technical project management with sales and customer support. They are a central interface between customers, sales, engineering, purchasing, construction management and commissioning and ensure that our projects are successfully implemented technically, economically and organizationally.

They take responsibility over the entire project life cycle and accompany our customers from the first project idea to the finished photovoltaic system.

Your tasks

Description & tender phase:

• Examination and processing of customer invitations as well as preparation and coordination of technical and economic tender documents up to the timely submission
• Development of technical and economic solutions for photovoltaic projects on industrial and commercial roofs
• Acquisition of new customers, support of existing business partners and independent development and pursuit of sales opportunities in the field of large photovoltaic projects
• Creation and calculation of offers in cooperation with the departments
• Support for customer presentations as well as offer and contract discussions

Project Activation & Project Control:

• Own-sponsored acquisition and activation of photovoltaic projects after order allocation
• Examination of contract documents and construction of the project structure
• Creation and maintenance of project documentation
• Planning and coordination of project processes including appointment, resource and material planning
• Control and coordination of all internal and external project participants

Replacement & Interface Management:

• Communication and coordination with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, network operators, authorities and other project partners
• Ensuring compliance with costs, dates, quality and applicable safety requirements
• Control of assembly, network connection and commissioning processes in close cooperation with construction management, electrical engineering and purchasing
• Current project controlling as well as early detection and resolution of project risks, changes and yields

Project completion & further development:

• Accompanying technical acceptances and responsibility for the complete project documentation and transfer of the plant to the customer
• Support in the continuous optimization of our project processes
• Technical support and the incorporation of new colleagues

This will bring you with

• Successfully completed studies in electrical engineering, energy engineering, industrial engineering, civil engineering or a comparable technical qualification
• Multiannual professional experience in project management of photovoltaic, electrical or construction projects, ideally in the field of industrial and commercial roofs
• Experience in the processing of customer invitations and in the production and costing of technical offers
• Technical understanding of photovoltaic systems and knowledge of relevant standards and regulations
• Structured, independent and solution-oriented mode of operation and pronounced organisational skills
• Secure appearance and strong communication skills in dealing with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and project partners
• Very good knowledge of German in word and writing; English knowledge is advantageous
• Secure handling of Microsoft Office, especially Excel; ideally experience with PV*SOL, PVcase, AutoCAD or comparable tools
• Class B driver's license and standby for occasional missions
• Team spirit, sense of responsibility and motivation to successfully complete projects
