Responsibility for developing a modern control and data platform across embedded devices, site controllers and cloud solutions. Development and optimization of device-related software based on embedded Linux using C and modern system programming languages. Definition and implementation of future-oriented software architectures, APIs, data models and communication interfaces between field devices, cloud systems and external applications. Conception and further development of intelligent tracking, stow and optimization algorithms taking into account weather, forecast and location data to increase the efficiency of technical installations. Construction and use of simulations as well as digital-twin concepts for analyzing operating data, evaluating control strategies and deriving technical optimization measures. Designing secure OTA update processes and scalable device management solutions for large international device fleets. Ensuring high software quality by automated testing methods, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews and structured acceptance processes. Responsibility for release, scalability, wartability and long-term development of complex software systems. Analysis and elimination of technical disturbances from ongoing productive operations. Professional management and support of development teams as well as close cooperation with product management, project management, hardware development, service organisations and international development partners.

Complete study of computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable qualification. Multiannual experience in the development of complex, networked software systems and ideally in a technical or architectural role. Knowledge of Linux and container technologies, distributed systems and cloud-based architectures. Experience in embedded software development, preferably with C or Rust. Very good knowledge of industrial communication protocols and integration standards, especially Modbus, MQTT and SCADA environments. Safe handling of CI/CD processes, automated testing methods and modern software development standards. Experience in cooperation with external development partners and interdisciplinary teams. German and English skills.
