Glenair was founded in Glendale, California USA in 1956. As part of the successful growth, sales, development and production facilities were opened worldwide, including in England, Italy, Germany, France and Sweden. Glenair GmbH, established since 1983 and based in Bad Homburg, expanded its focus in 2017 with the development and production of mechanisms and cable sets for the space industry at the Salem/ Bodensee site. As one of the largest manufacturers of interconnection technology, the Glenair team is working closely with almost all well-known companies from the aerospace, defence, railway, marine and offshore industries. Your tasks and responsibilities Design and development of cable assemblies for space travel. Creation of cable drawings with 2D-ECAD and creation of 3D CAD routings with SolidWorks. Supply creation by feasibility analysis, work package descriptions, effort determination and quantity skeletons. Order processing, coordination and control of processes from development, production, acceptance to delivery. Technical contact for customers to process changes taking into account the impact on costs and time. Creation of production documents such as Wiring diagrams, piece lists, routing cards. Creation of the required documentation. Preparation and implementation of reviews according to the development process. Ensuring compliance with internal processes.

Successfully completed studies, as an alternative degree as a technician, the field of electrical engineering, aerospace technology, defence or comparable Experience in the development and construction of system cabling Knowledge of conditions in space (ESA/IPC) is desirable Experience and knowledge of the electrical construction of space systems CAD identifiers (e.g. cabling SW) Self-employed, structured and focused working methods, quality and responsibility Very good team capability and communication strength Very good knowledge of German and English
