Head of Accounting and Finance (m/w/d) at a successful engineering office

Our client is a successful engineering office, which has been growing for years in the field of technical building equipment (TGA) with attractive large projects throughout Germany, a stable customer base and a humorous, sympathetic team. The profitable company has three locations in Germany with a total of 60 employees and is now looking for reinforcement for the headquarters in Frankfurt am Main.

In the position as Head of Accounting and Finance (m/w/d), you will occupy a key position with real design potential in a newly created position. In a direct line of reports to the management, you are the first contact point around all commercial and administrative topics. They drive the digitization of processes as well as the implementation of new software and are happy to work with hands-on themselves in the daily business.

We are looking for both individuals with a proven experience in accounting, e.g. as a senior accountant, who want to grow into their first disciplinary leadership, as well as candidates who have already gained experience as a commercial management or financial management in smaller, dynamic structures. The position is to be occupied in full-time or part-time (at least 35 hours per week).

Responsibility for managing financial and accounting Debitor and creditor accounting, controlling, reporting and reminding Digitization of processes and implementation of new software preparing and producing financial reports and business evaluations and the annual accounts; close cooperation with the external tax office Monitoring liquidity and corporate key figures Creating offers, invoices and supplements Close exchange with the management for strategic development Professional and disciplinary leadership of 4 employees from finance and administration

Successfully completed commercial training or studies in the field of accounting, controlling or business management Multiannual professional experience in accounting, finance and/or accounting Ideally experience in the construction industry, e.g. in an engineering office; Alternatively, experience in a service-oriented company or in the field of mechanical engineering / plant construction First disciplinary leadership experience ideal, but no need High IT affinity and experience in digitizing processes and the introduction of software Team player with high priority skills and a structured, solution-oriented way of working Impressed communication strength combined with strategic and entrepreneurial thinking
