At EWN GmbH in Lubmin, you will find a key position with high social relevance. As Chief of Security Engineer (m/w/d), you take over an independent staff position function with direct reporting line and pre-language right at the management. You advise management on all issues of occupational safety and health protection, shape the strategic development of our work protection and make a decisive contribution to the safety of our employees and to the sustainable sustainability of our company. The position is designed without personnel responsibility. You are responsible for your task and work through your expertise, consulting skills and persuasiveness at all levels of the company.

Advising management and management in all matters of occupational safety and health Safety technical support of existing, new and planned workflows and construction and renovation projects Assessment of operations, working procedures, work equipment and personal protective equipment and derivation of appropriate protective measures Development, arrangement, accompaniment and effectiveness assessment of measures to continuously improve health and safety at work Ensuring compliance with statutory, professional, regulatory and operational occupational safety requirements Technical responsibility for the creation and release of risk assessments, risk analyses, operating instructions and safety requirements catalogues Analysis of severe accidents at work and near events and the development of sustainable prevention and improvement measures Introduction, administration and continuous development of a digital work protection management software as well as participation in the digitization of work protection processes Performance of tasks as a specialist for occupational safety in accordance with ASiG including specialist supervision, right of proposal according to § 8 para. 3 ASiG and cooperation with authorities, professional associations and group-wide specialist bodies

Your profile

Successfully completed university studies e.g. in the field of safety engineering, safety engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering or a comparable engineering and scientific discipline Complete training as a specialist for occupational safety (safety engineer/security specialist) in accordance with the Labour Safety Act Multiannual professional experience in the field of occupational safety, HSE or health and environmental protection, ideally in a regulated or safety-critical industry Knowledge of occupational health and safety and relevant legal and professional regulations (including ASiG, ArbSchG, BetrSichV, GefStoffV, DGUV) Experience in the creation and evaluation of risk assessments, risk analyses and operating instructions Knowledge in the construction, development and digitization of occupational safety and health Management systems of advantage Ideally experience in planning, performing or accompanying internal and external audits Analytical thinking capacity as well as a strong ability to assess risk and develop sustainable improvement measures High consulting, communication and persuasive competence as well as safe occurrence Strategic and conceptual working combined with pragmatic implementation strength and pronounced process understanding Self-employed, structured and responsible work Very good knowledge of German in word and writing (at least level C1)
