Do you want to develop yourself in innovative research and teaching and to provide students with a deeper understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of mechanical stress and material properties? Activities We are looking for a dedicated personality for the teaching area Fundancy Teaching / Technical Mechanics and Material Science in the context of Vehicle Technology. Your duties include teaching and research as well as the support of student works and young scientists. For example, they convey the basic mechanical principles and train students to understand and model static physical systems. They teach which concepts components can be safely designed for static and oscillating loads and what influence the component-bound material behavior has on component safety. In laboratories, students are guided by practical exercises to deepen the learned knowledge. Within the framework of study projects, graduates and research activities, there is the possibility to inspire students more deeply for these topics and their application in the environment of vehicles. They bring

• Deep knowledge of strength and technical mechanics
• Expertise in materials engineering
• Complete university studies, pedagogical aptitude, ability to scientific work (usually confirmed by a doctorate) and 5 years of professional experience, of which 3 years outside the HS field (§47 Landeshochschulgesetz BW)
• The ability to hold courses in German and English
• Willingness to take over (basic) lectures in professionally adjacent areas at our locations
• Willingness to contribute to the academic self-government and further development of the faculty and university
