At the closest possible time, we are looking for you as an economic reporter (d/m/w) for exciting research along the Nordgate axis from Norderstedt in the Hamburg Speck belt to Neumünster – and beyond.

You can track relevant topics from the fields of business, work, money and innovation – close to people and with a view to the whole You research thoroughly, cross-medial and independent – whether at mid-level, start-ups, infrastructure projects or developments in the labour market You'll write pointy reports, exclusive analyses, background reports and concise comments – for all channels of Kiel News You explain complex economic relationships in a comprehensible way and show what they mean for people in the region You set your own accents, cover disorders, and bring topics to the agenda that are causing change

A journalistic education (e.g. Volontariat) and first experience as an economic reporter A fine feeling for economic developments, social trends – and the ability to tell them clearly Hardness, curiosity, accuracy – and pleasure to look behind facades Style security in writing, sovereign handling of photo and video as well as interest in multimedia formats Affinity for digital channels and openness for new narrative forms Own initiative, sense of responsibility and team spirit
