Head of the ASV Modelling Department (m/f/d)

With a central modeling department, you want to shape the data-driven control of one of the leading specialist insurance companies in Germany? In the Department of Analytics Sachversicherung-Modellierung (ASV‐M), you are responsible for the further development and professional operation of the statistical model landscape of AXA Sachversicherung and thereby significantly shape our pricing and control processes.

In the role as head:in the department ASV‐M You are responsible for the operation, retraining and monitoring of risk models, demand models and portfolio management models. Make sure that models from the Spartenaktuariate are transferred to the daily operation without interference, automated and further developed. focuses on model-run topics: You make sure that models are not only technically excellent, but also technically robust, performant and audit-proof in productive use. tax R&D activities in the field of modelling: you initiate and prioritise research and development projects on new processes, technologies and data. take over the professional and disciplinary leadership of the ASV‐M department, develop your employees:in addition, and promote a culture of cooperation, learning and responsibility. You work closely with Spartenaktuariaten, IT and the Data Innovation Lab and represent the results of your department in management bodies and, if necessary, in board bodies. actively support the cultural change from AXA to an agile, tech-driven company and position ASV‐M as a central enabler for technical excellence.

Education: You have a very well completed master's degree or a PhD in mathematics, statistics, economic mathematics or a comparable degree course. Qualification: You bring an education to the Aktuar DAV or have worked for at least 5 years in an actuariat or an analytical unit in the property or accident insurance. Leadership competence: As a manager, you already have several years of experience and are delighted to develop your employees and the department. Analytical thinking: You are convinced by pronounced analytical skills, an independent and initiative working and a high motivation for professional and personal development. Data & AI competence: You are mathematically fit, you like to program (e.g. Python, SQL, Git), and you have an affinity for preparing complex data and for statistical modeling. You use AI tools and understand their chances and boundaries. Communication competence: You have very strong communicative skills and can present complex facts clearly, structured and address-oriented - both to experts and to management and board. Language skills: You have knowledge of German and English in word and writing.
