At the next time, we are looking for Carl Zeiss Spectroscopy GmbH in Jena as a designer (m/w/x) with the following areas of activity: Your duties You are responsible for the development and construction of complex mechanical spectrometer modules

This includes the entire process from the idea, prototype production to the final series product

In your role, you take responsibility for the technical management of internal developments and external customer projects

In doing so, you can independently construct components for standard production and assembly, stand in close cooperation with the suppliers and transfer the product to production

You design constructive solutions with in- and external development partners and evaluate the constructive results

You create technical documents and documents with the utmost care

In the development phase, you will gain insightful insights through the design of function patterns as well as the implementation of tests on prototypes.

Successfully completed studies (Diplom, Master or comparable) in mechanical engineering, precision engineering or related engineering sciences

Insufficient and extensive professional experience in the development and construction of precisely manufactured mechanical/optomechanical components and assemblies

Safe handling of the Creo CAD program as well as knowledge in SAP - knowledge in optical simulation is desirable

Passion and enthusiasm for holistic development and construction in a challenging environment and the motivation to work into new technologies and working methods

Excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively in the team and an independent and proactive way of working with a high degree of self-responsibility are highly valued by us

Hands-on mentality in a dynamic environment where rapid action and adaptability are crucial

Excellent ability to analyze complex problems and find creative solutions

Very good knowledge of German (min. C1), good knowledge of English in word and writing
