We develop social future! As an operating IT service provider of the Federal Employment Agency (BA), the IT system house at the main location Nuremberg/Fürth and at various locations throughout Germany with over 100 IT applications, 180.000 connected PC workstations and the associated infrastructure runs one of the largest IT landscapes in Germany and continuously develops them. They are hired in the IT system house as IT architect/in.

Become part of the team K51 - STEP – master data collection and care program in the area of supporting services.

The software is developed for one of the operational IT core processes within the BA. We support and develop the application STEP, the master data management of BA.

As an elementary basic service, this provides the data of about 41 million people and about approx. 15 million businesses available via standardized interfaces to other applications and our users can manage them via a modern web interface. STEP is therefore an integral part of numerous business processes in the house.

As an IT architect/in in the STEP procedure, you assume a central responsibility in an agile environment. Here you analyze technical requirements and design a viable software architecture based on modern technologies. They are contact persons in all questions about the technical requirements analysis of the interface partners, projects and the agile teams in STEP - we are currently developing in 3 agile teams in the Scrum method. They work closely with the respective product owners in the STEP process, as well as the technically responsible customer data at region level K5.

The cooperation in the whole area is very flexible and with a good mix between on-site and mobile work.

Tasks and Activities

Your duties

• Development of IT strategies focusing on technological dependencies and architectures
• Responsibility for the analysis, evaluation and design of technical requirements in the STEP procedure
• Technical responsibility for the STEP procedure
• Consulting and coordination with interface partners, controllers and clients
• Coaching and knowledge transfer within the framework of software architecture and technical questions
• Responsibility for planning, organisation and implementation of projects over all phases of the project
• Definition of project objectives, milestones and resources
• Current market exploration and review of technology trends and developments and adaptation of IT internal guidelines
• Creation of IT Security and Compliance Policy and Ensuring Compliance

Requirements

• Higher education or comparable qualifications (priorities: computer science, business informatics)
• Long-standing relevant professional experience
