Head of Unit 'Capital and Capital Markets' Place of work: Frankfurt am Main Job: Full-time (part-time is possible in principle), unlimited Job ID: 2025_0562_02 In the “Capital and Capital Markets” unit, we investigate and evaluate the financial markets from a macroeconomic perspective with the focus on monetary policy. We analyse the dynamics of interest, stock and foreign exchange markets and look at structural and institutional factors.

Engagedly guide a highly qualified team of eleven people, work with this trustfully together and promote the cohesion of the employees. They give the team impulses for empirical and model-based capital market analyses as well as for research projects that address current topics and methods, and accompany the process in a quality-proof manner. You regularly examine the thematic basic orientation of the analyses your work unit and explore new topics. In addition, your team will identify topics that can be published, for example, in the articles of the Bundesbank's Monthly Report, and will work on their publication. They cooperate cooperatively and interdisciplinaryly with other units in the Bundesbank and represent the Bundesbank in national and international bodies.

Outstanding leadership competence Master or equivalent degree with economic focus Experience in independent scientific work, documented by own publications and/or dissertation; ideally experience in supporting publications Very good knowledge of financial market theory and macroeconomic contexts (including Macro/Finance models, DSGE models, interest rate curves) and ideally at least five years of relevant experience in the financial industry Very good knowledge of current economic and quantitative procedures (including BVAR, factor models, high frequency analyses) and at least five years of experience in their application in the scientific context Expertise in dealing with the use of artificial intelligence in the context of economic analysis is advantageous Representative leadership competence (referred by first leadership experience or corresponding training/certificates) Embossed representation and persuasiveness as well as negotiation skills Very good communication skills in German and English
