Team Leader/Radiation Protection Engineer for Operational Radiation Protection from 01.12.2026 (m/f/d)

The work in a nuclear plant means that radioactive substances and ionizing radiation must be handled daily. The protection of humans and the environment is at first place. The complex sub-installations of our disposal plants bring together a diverse mixture of plant operation, plant refurbishment and renovation and new construction projects. This makes the tasks particularly challenging for our team of radiation protection monitoring disposal, but also all the more exciting and varied. In all aspects of operational radiation protection, colleagues (m/w/d) of the group provide advice and support for the disposal of radiation protection by setting protection measures for personnel, measuring dose performance and contamination and monitoring of the work in radiation protection technology.

You take over the personnel management of a large team of radiation protection monitoring, which is divided into the various sub-sites of our disposal plants. You take over the nuclear responsibility for your task and are appointed as radiation protection officer (m/w/d). You shall ensure that the proper operation of radiation protection monitoring is ensured at any time in all sub-company facilities of our disposal plants and that all applicable regulations and requirements are complied with consistently. You ensure a trusted cooperation and regular exchange with the operating lines in order to be able to integrate radiation protection into the ongoing work processes as best possible. You advise on radiation protection-relevant issues relating to disposal and reconstruction projects or also on renovation and new construction projects. Your radiation protection expert is also in demand in the field of reporting and in the case of atomic approval and modification procedures. In addition, you are responsible for the quality and assessment of radiation protection measurement results. You are proactively developing the existing processes in radiation protection monitoring and, if necessary, are also involved in cross-CTE strategy topics.

You bring a completed study, ideally in the field of radiation protection or nuclear technology. You have a broad and well-founded radiation protection expertise and have already gained extensive practical experience in the operational radiation protection of a nuclear plant in the past. Ideally, you have been able to gain first experience with professional and/or disciplinary leadership tasks in the professional or extra-vocational environment. You work very organized and structured and bring strategic thinking and a targeted approach. You have a good look at technical relationships and can also make technically sound decisions under time pressure. As a leadership, you live in team orientation and open cooperation. You also have a good sense of situational information management. You can win different parties and characters through your transparent communication for your ideas and represent your views with clarity and self-security. You have German knowledge at least on C1 level and convince with a very good oral and written expressability. The occupational medical suitability for exposure to radiation protection control must be given.

The remuneration of the written position depends on the relevant collective agreements of the chemical industry of Baden-Württemberg. According to the Federal Compensation Agreement of the Chemical Industry Baden-Württemberg, the unit is classified in a range between the E 11 - E 12 T pay groups. On a full-time basis, this currently results in an estimated gross annual fee of between EUR 68,579 and EUR 94,904. This amount includes 12 monthly tariff fees and the annual tariff and the monthly tariff fee. The specific allocation of the grouping takes place according to the relevant tariff requirements.
