The Palliativstation has 6 patient beds and is located in an architecturally appealing new building. The interprofessional team is distinguished by a high degree of self-responsibility and self-responsibility and regularly participates in further and further training. The Palliative Medicine department also offers a wide range of possibilities for development.

On the palliative station, seriously ill patients with much empathy and sufficient time are medically supervised and nursed. This relates in particular to people who need a temporally limited treatment due to life-limiting diseases in the advanced stage, for example oncological diseases. The aim of palliative medicine is not to treat or cure diseases, but to alleviate suffering and improve quality of life through interdisciplinary care and targeted symptom control.

The palliative medical consil service includes doctors / doctors, nurses, psychologists / psychologists as well as social pedagogues / social pedagogues and thus works multiprofessional. The team assists stationary palliative patients and supports the treating teams in matters of specialized palliative medical care, symptom control, pain therapy and palliative care challenges. As a rule, the first visit is carried out by a doctor or a doctor together with a caregiver after receipt of the consecutive request and consultation with the requesting team.
