Senior Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist

Develop AI services: You design, develop and implement new machine learning models that intelligently expand our software – for example for automated evaluation of medical data, text classification or decision support in the audit. Model integration and MLOps: You seamlessly integrate ML models into our product architecture, automate training and deployment pipelines and ensure traceability and durability of productive models. Quality and performance: You are responsible for the continuous monitoring and improvement of model quality, perform retrainings and establish key figures for model evaluation and optimization. Data Analysis and Feature Engineering: You analyze medical and billing-related data, guide relevant features and ensure data quality, consistency and security. Interdisciplinary cooperation: You work closely with specialist specialists, product management and software development to embed AI-based functions into our test software and create practical added value for health insurance companies and service providers.

Study/education: Successfully completed studies in computer science, data science, medical informatics or a comparable course of study with a technical focus. Experience: Multiannual professional experience in the development, implementation and care of productive machine learning models – ideally in a regulated or data-driven environment such as healthcare, insurance or the public sector. Fachskills (ML & Data Science): Funded knowledge in Python and the current ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) as well as experience with model evaluation and feature engineering. Fachskills (MLOps & Architecture): Experience with MLOps tools and processes (e.g. MLflow, Kubeflow), Containerization (Docker) and CI/CD. Knowledge of data pipelines is necessary. Softskills: Analytical thinking, high problem-solving competence, affinity for medical and regulatory issues as well as the ability to convey complex AI concepts in a comprehensible and practical way. Innovation: Interest in new technologies and innovations (e.g. using LLMs). Language knowledge: Very good German knowledge (C1 level).
