The tasks are diverse: research, development, investigation and testing of products and samples of substances are also part of these, such as operational measurements, advice, participation in standardization and regulation, as well as providing specialist information and expert knowledge. Your tasks: As the Head of the Unit, you are responsible for the personnel use and the work organisation as well as for the implementation and evaluation of research projects, studies, investigations and analyses. You also advise accident insurance companies, DGUV departments and external bodies. As leadership of the team, 'Epidemiology', you are responsible for carrying out and participating in epidemiological studies, advise accident insurance providers scientifically in the design of own epidemiological studies and answer epidemiological questions from other departments of the IFA and the DGUV. Your further tasks include: Conception and implementation of exposure evaluations Organisation and coordination of publications, lectures, seminars and training events Participation in committees, working groups and representation of the field of interdisciplinary and/or multidisciplinary projects

Completed academic studies (Master/ Diploma) of natural or human sciences or equivalent knowledge and experience additional qualification or qualifying further training (with proof) or Promotion in Public Health desirable Experiences in project management as well as in building, management and benefits of large databases Knowledge of applied statistical methods in epidemiology Knowledge on health protection and interdisciplinary research Professional experience of abroad Very good leadership skills of teams with both internal and external employees Very good German language skills (at least level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) Very good English knowledge in word and writing (at least level C1 of the common European reference framework for languages) knowledge as much as possible of a further foreign language Ready for multi-day missions
