Number: MER0003LE2 The automotive industry is changing. Above all, digitization is driving this change. IT systems have evolved into a significant productivity factor and the potential to be implemented through IT solutions has not been exhausted for a long time.

We are the IT Center of Competence (CoC) Production Mercedes-Benz Powertrain. Our production-oriented IT solutions are used in Germany and abroad, such as the USA, China, Poland, Romania and Slovenia. Our mission is to be an enabler for the PG Drive Systems (formerly Mercedes-Benz Powertrain) with our innovative IT solutions. In addition, we need to develop our existing, production-critical IT application structure in a sustainable manner.

In the department, our team is responsible for the critical and highly complex production control systems with which we keep running more than 120 production lines daily. By controlling the production of motors, axles, transmissions, batteries and in the future electric drive trains, we enable many colleagues in the plants to contribute their daily part to each Mercedes-Benz vehicle.

In the next few years, there is an enormous change in e-mobility, which we are actively contributing with a new generation of assembly control systems to be developed. In the course of this, a new implementation of the central assembly control line system is currently carried out in an agile cooperation model (Scrum). Introduction to Cypress and comparison with existing test tools (e.g. Selenium, Playwright) Conception and construction of an automated test framework with Cypress Development of practical test cases based on real web applications Integration of tests into our CI/CD pipeline Documentation of results and derivation of recommendations for action The final topics will be discussed with the university, you and us.

Studies in Computer Science, Business Informatics or Similar Basic knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and Web Technologies (HTML, CSS) Interest in software tests, automation and DevOps processes Knowledge of Test Automation: Experience with Test Automation Tools, Ideally Cypress Self-employed and structured work Additional information: Of course, without formalities, we are not.
