Heidelberg University Hospital (UKHD) is one of the most important medical centers in Germany and stands for the development of innovative diagnostics and therapies as well as their rapid implementation for the patient. With around 14,000 employees throughout the group in more than 50 clinical departments with more than 2,500 beds, approximately 80,000 patients are treated in full and in part-stationary terms and more than 1,000,000 patients outpatiently. Senior Consultant (m/w/d) at the next possible time at the Heidelberg University Hospital for general medicine and supply research.
The Department of General Medicine and Supply Research employs approx. 50 scientific staff from medical and health professions as well as graduates from courses of health and care research with the aim of scientifically examining current issues of health care and improving medical care in a sustainable manner. The project is part of a project funded by AOK Baden-Württemberg (until 31.12.2027) for individual prevention and resource strengthening in pregnancy and for optimising gynecological care. As part of the study, a digital and analog consultancy intervention has been developed which provides relevant information on the subject. Life-style risks in pregnancy mediate (resource strengthening) and contribute to the reduction of lifestyle-related pregnancy complications as well as pre- and postnatal morbidity and mortality.
The next step is to analyze and publish the data collected at three measurement times. It should be examined primarily,
whether the advice (on-site and online) improves knowledge of lifestyle-related risk factors (LRRFs) compared to the control group, whether advice promotes health-related behaviour (nutrition, movement, stress management, renouncing harmful substances), and whether online and on-site consulting have comparable effects.
Secondary analyses include, among other things, the process evaluation from customer perspective (user satisfaction and user friendliness). There is the option to collect further data (both qualitative and quantitative data) and to process jointly developed questions.
Furthermore, existing materials are to be adapted and developed for further multipliers and the intervention is implemented. Materials are to be conceived together with service providers and the AOK Baden-Württemberg, with the involvement of experts in the respective fields of action “nutrition, movement, relaxation and addiction”.
The project includes a controlled intervention study involving AOK health centres and an accompanying process and outcome evaluation in cooperation with a variety of high-level project partners whose findings are to be dissected in recognised international publication bodies.
