Overview In this position, you are responsible for the creation, optimization and maintenance of SMD data as well as the technical support throughout the SMD equipping process. You work closely with layouters, internal specialist departments and suppliers. The new ifm products will accompany you from design to successful series. SMD - Data Management & Programming Installation, maintenance and optimization of SMD data for the fitting lines Construction and maintenance of component libraries, programs and machine parameters Analysis and continuous improvement of programmes to increase quality and efficiency New Product Introduction (NPI) – SMD Mounting Technical support of the NPI process from the first layout to the serial start Evaluation and release of new components, footprints and circuit board layouts Preparation of the first sample fitting incl. Program setup, template requirements and process parameters Analysis of initial sample results and derivation of optimization measures for series processes Component and PCB evaluation Testing and technical assessment of SMD components, packages and footprints Evaluation of PCB layouts with regard to manufacturability (DFM) and process safety Support in selecting suitable equipment and manufacturing strategies Communication and interface work Close cooperation with layouters to optimize PCB designs Exchange with PCB suppliers and template manufacturers to coordinate technical requirements Technical clarification of process and material issues along the entire supply chain Process analysis and optimization Analysis of fitting processes, machine and quality data Identification and implementation of measures to reduce setup times, error rates and process fluctuations Participation in the standardization of libraries, testing processes and manufacturing guidelines

Complete technical training or studies in the field of electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, production technology or comparable discipline Experience in electronics production, ideally with ASM and FUJI fitting systems Funded knowledge of SMD production and DFM principles Analytical thinking, structured working and high level of quality and process awareness Communication strength and joy in interdisciplinary cooperation Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing (at least level B2)
