Dispatcher Sea Freight / Import – Containers & Customs (m/f/d)

Independent disposition and coordination of international sea freight transport Organisation and control of container imports, in particular from China Coordination of the transport chain from the port of departure to arrival in the port of Hamburg Organisation of the follow-ups and timely delivery of the containers Communication with shipping companies, forwardings, customs agents and other transport service providers Monitoring of vessel arrivals, container transit times, exemptions and delivery dates Processing of delays, changes and deviations in the transport sequence Examination and processing of freight, import and customs documents Independent coordination and processing of customs processes in import Ensuring compliance with customs requirements and import regulations Coordination with customs authorities and customs agents Monitoring customs clearance and container clearance Maintenance of transport data and documentation of ongoing processes

Professional experience in sea freight, import processing or container disposition Finded knowledge in container import, ideally in import business with China Very good knowledge of customs and practical import customs processing Experience in cooperation with shipping companies, freight forwarders, customs agents and transport service providers Good understanding of international maritime and import operations Safe handling of import, freight and customs documents Good knowledge of German in word and writing Good knowledge of English for communication with international business partners Structured, reliable and independent operation Organizational talent and a good sense of appointments and priorities Safe handling of MS Office; Knowledge of forwarding or transport software is advantageous
