The group “Jugendhilfe Schapen – Wohngruppe Salam – Haus des Friedens” is located on the eastern outskirts of Braunschweig in Schapen. A team of educators (m/w/d), social pedagogues (m/w/d) as well as domestic workers (m/w/d) care about the well-being of young people between 12 and 17 years. A total of nine places are designed for long-term accommodation, two places are available for short-term care. The tasks are: Support for the organisation and management of the institution, taking into account the legal provisions and quality standards in child and youth assistance Proactive and responsible cooperation in group service within the framework of a shift service system Ensuring holistic and need-oriented care and support for children and young people, including individual support and crisis intervention Contact person for the team

A completed study of social education/social work, pedagogy, education, special education or psychology (diploma, Bachelor, Master or Magister) or comparable pedagogical qualification e.g. B.: Health education (m/w/d) Relevant professional and management experience desirable Very good knowledge of legal provisions and quality standards in child and youth assistance Empathy and sensitivity in dealing with stressed / traumatized children and young people and their individual needs High resilience, flexibility and enforcement capability as well as the ability to cope with constructive conflict Very good computer skills
