The Evangelical Hospital Alsterdorf offers the largest and most modern monitoring with 19 seats throughout the country. In this way, it is possible to determine exactly whether the seizures of a patient are epilepsy, as it is expressed, and which is the best treatment, the patients are recorded at the station of the video-EEG intensive monitoring. This means that in all patients at the monitoring station the brain currents (EEG) are derived around the clock. For almost every third patient who comes to us with the suspected diagnosis “epilepsia”, it turns out that the seizures have a different cause.

Overview of tasks

• Care and assistance of patients for the diagnosis and therapy of seizures
• Preparation and implementation of long-term EEG derivatives and their evaluation including various studies such as sleep withdrawal and photostimulation
• Circular diagnostics such as tilt table and standing test, LZ-RR, LZ-EKG, sleep diagnostics (polygraphy, MWT, MSLT)
• Presurgical diagnostics such as SPECT and invasive EEG discharges

We are looking

• People with completed training as health care and nursing caregiver*in or to MTA-F, with experience in the neurological function diagnosis EEG department or interest in further education, we support you
