Then we want to get to know you! Become a Head of Warehouse and Logistics (m/w/d) and take over the overall responsibility for our logistics processes as well as the management and development of the department and its employees.

Full time (40h/week) – Paderborn – from now on

Tasks Transport logistics & subcontractor management:

Control and development of our network of specialised step transporters for safe transport Negotiation, controlling and relationship management with forwarding partners and load-mile service providers Construction and maintenance of KPIs, dashboards and reporting structures for delivery reliability, quality and costs Assessment and, where appropriate, Construction of own transport capacities for special transport (strategic future project) Ensuring highest quality standards in packaging, cargo securing and transfer Planning, coordination and monitoring of national and international deliveries incl. Shipping and customs documentation

Digitalization & Customer Journey: Close collaboration with Marketing & E-Commerce to design seamless digital delivery and customer communication Construction of tracking structures and customer information along the shipping process Development and maintenance of shipping software and logistics modules in the ERP system (Alphaplan) Analysis of logistical key figures and derivation of optimization measures

Bearing: Responsibility for receipt of goods, proper storage and storage Monitoring stocks, inventory management in the ERP system and implementation of inventory Ensuring picking and delivery of goods for shipping Continuous process optimization (e.g. Lean/5S) with focus on quality, transit time and error rate Introduction and support of digital warehouse management systems (LVS/WMS) Voting with purchasing to avoid delivery bottlenecks or overstocks

Management tasks: Conduct, motivate and develop employees manage department budget; Making investment decisions independently Actively shape strategic business goals and implement them in the department Close cooperation with purchasing, sales and marketing; Special projects control (e.g. building own transport logistics)

You have completed training or completed studies in the field of logistics, forwarding, supply chain management or a comparable qualification. You bring multi-year leadership experience in a comparable position – ideally in a medium-sized environment. You have extensive experience in managing transport service providers and in negotiations with forwarding partners. You have demonstrable experience in the construction of key figures structures, dashboards and data-driven reporting. You work with ERP systems as well as shipping and warehouse management software. You are familiar with customs, export and ideally also hazardous goods regulations. You have a very high quality awareness and understand what is important in packaging, control and safe transport. You are convinced by leadership, organisational strength and clear, binding communication. You think strategically, at the same time pragmatically and tackle topics with a hands-on mentality. You are resilient, decision-making and process-oriented. You have a good sense of customer needs and understand logistics as part of a strong service promise. You have experience with or a real interest in AI-based tools and digitalization projects. Good knowledge of German and English at level B1–B2 complete your profile.
