A completed academic degree (e.g. Master or Diploma), preferably from the fields of social sciences, economics or behavioral sciences At least one year of professional experience (after graduation) in science or evaluation practice Experience in the implementation of strategic evaluations at programme or country level and knowledge in the field of evaluation (evaluation approaches, design, standards, etc.) application knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods of empirical social research, at least in one of the two methods areas very good application knowledge including common analysis software, in particular in the fields of portfolio analysis and carrying out interviews Country knowledge of Malawi or in the region of southern Africa/East Africa (e.g. by studying/practices and/or working experiences), experiences through stays on site Experience in the assignment and/or control of external experts Good knowledge (e.g. through specialization in studies and/or working experience) in the field of German development cooperation, in particular with regard to structures and processes of bilateral development cooperation of the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing, knowledge of other international transport languages are advantageous Very good target group-oriented oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and ability to write evaluation Social, in particular gender and intercultural competence readiness to travel abroad (on average about 2 longer journeys a 2-3 weeks per year)
