Account Manager (m/w/d)

For our administration, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced personality as a payroll manager (m/w/d), which together with its 3-person team ensures a reliable, efficient and service-oriented pay bill. Scientific excellence, international cooperation and professional administration meet with us. As a payroll manager, you play a central role in our organization and, together with your team, actively contribute to the further development of our payroll processes. As Payroll Manager:in you take over the professional and disciplinary leadership of our Payroll team and, together with your team, you are responsible for the proper and timely accounting of our employees.

Professional and disciplinary leadership, development and motivation of the Payroll team Responsibility for the timely, correct and legally compliant implementation of the institution's monthly fee billing Own-responsible implementation of the monthly billing for a separate billing circuit for our different status groups (Professor:innen, Verwaltungs- und Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter, Werkstudierende, Minijobber, Intern:innen) with all upstream and downstream activities for a defined billing circuit Control and optimization of payroll processes and continuous further development of internal processes and standards Ensuring the correct implementation of tax, social insurance and labour law requirements Contact person:in all questions relating to pay billing and pay tax or social insurance matters Support and advice of different stakeholders, in particular professors:inside, administrative staff, scientific staff Accounting and administrative support of special remuneration and employment behaviour Cooperation with internal interfaces, in particular HR, finance and other administrative areas Communication with authorities, social security institutions, health insurance companies and other external contact persons Monitoring, in particular by financial authorities and social security institutions

Successfully completed studies of business management, personnel management or a comparable qualification Multiannual relevant professional experience as payroll manager:in or in a comparable responsible payroll function Experience in the professional and disciplinary leadership of a payroll team Ideally professional experience in public areas, in higher education or in a comparable complex organisation Very good knowledge of German pay tax and social security law Secure and routined handling with DATEV LODAS and optional SAP Experience gained in the calculation of different employment and remuneration models Experience with special payroll attitudes, including special features (gifts, team events, reward dinners), railway cards, company tickets, mailings, company pension plans and willingness to call Experience in consulting different target groups and in professional handling of diverse stakeholders Very good knowledge of German and very good knowledge of English in word and writing Embossed communication and leadership skills as well as a sovereign occurrence High service orientation and joy in cooperation with different disciplines Structured, careful and solution-oriented operation Discretion and a high sense of responsibility in dealing with sensitive personal data
