Technical laboratory manager or Technischer Laborleiter (m/w/d) at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences, at the Institute for Soil Mechanics and Civil Engineering

(Accompanied up to 12 TVöD) At the closest possible time, searched in full or part-time. Our institute represents the field of geotechnology in the entire range in research and teaching. As part of our third-party research, we are involved in latest developments, e.g. in tunnel construction, environmental sciences and soil improvement. Experimental studies in our excellently equipped laboratory are traditionally a focus of our work. Our new experimental hall is one of the most modern in German-speaking countries.

Tasks:

• Technical and technical management of all laboratory activities
• Technical supervision of laboratory staff including trainees
• Participation in teaching in carrying out laboratory practice
• Participation in the design and evaluation of experimental studies in the laboratory and on the construction sites
• Support of the Institute's computer equipment and laboratory software
• Close cooperation with the scientific staff and the scientific laboratory management
• Cost monitoring and material responsibility of the Institute's extensive laboratory equipment including responsibility for procurement
• Ensuring laboratory, work, operational and workshop safety

  Qualification requirements:

• completed technical higher education (Dipl.-Ing. (FH) or Bachelor's degree) in civil engineering, geotechnology and applied geology or geotechnology or comparable disciplines and areas.
• German language skills with a minimum level C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
• Equality and diversity competence

• Experiences with ground-mechanical laboratory and field tests
• Professional experience in the field of IT workstation (Windows), IT applications, IT programming and measurement technology are advantageous
