Uniper Internal Audit aims to provide "security and advice wherever our business goes". By providing risk-oriented and independent perspectives, we support the continuous improvement of Uniper's existing and new business areas as an internal audit. The focus of the Commercial Audit Team is on the functions of our company's energy trading and risk management. As a working student - Data Science in our Commercial Audit Team, you have the opportunity to contribute to the further development of our internal audit function by using data science techniques and AI.

Your tasks:

• You help implement the Data & AI strategy of the Internal Audit.

• You help us integrate data science based techniques and statistical models into our Internal Audit Data Analytics.

• You help to design, develop and implement AI-controlled solutions, including major language models (LLMs) to improve audit processes and analytical skills.

• You create programmable dashboards, analyze large amounts of data and apply statistical techniques to data sets to gain insights into the business.

• You support the collection, purification and preparation of structured and unstructured data for use in AI models and advanced analyses.

• You work with colleagues in the Internal Audit as part of our commercial audits to identify and implement application cases, e.g. for risk assessments, sample analyses and sample checks.

• You are in the Data Community of Uniper and support team-wide cooperation.

• Studying a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or Energy Sciences.

• Understanding LLM Fin tuning, architecture and prompt engineering. Previous NLP experience or projects are of advantage. Experience with copilot solutions, including copilot agents, e.g. for automation of workflows or for analysis of available documentation, is a plus.

• Experience in the use of data analysis and data science techniques. Knowledge of energy trading is advantageous.

• Controlling a programming language (e.g. Python, R, JavaScript) and a database management system (e.g. SQL).

• You like to work with people and technology, are open and sensitive to others.

• Effective communication and collaboration capabilities. You can present and explain technical concepts to your colleague and understand the business context as the basis for your data solution.
