As a road construction agency, we are responsible for the complete value chain of road construction and take care of mobility strategies, planning, construction, road operation and traffic management. The Operation and Transport Department, with its 46 road masters, ensures safety throughout the year as well as the management of the federal, state and district roads: These include, for example, state and function checks, repair of road damage, wood maintenance, road cleaning and winter service. The position offers a versatile and demanding task field in the field of transport. It combines technical responsibility with active participation in a secure and efficient transport network. This means in detail: You represent the interests of Hessen Mobil as a road building authority in the sense of StVO towards municipalities, traffic authorities, police and other partners You assess road traffic inspections and planning of external service providers and conduct road traffic calculations according to the manual for the measurement of road traffic systems (HBS) independently by You can identify and evaluate performance and safety problems in the road network and develop practical solutions In addition, you take over tasks in construction site management, including the creation, coordination and arrangement of traffic regulations as well as workstation traffic management Its responsibility also includes the planning, tendering, awarding, monitoring, billing and supervision of road equipment construction measures, such as lighting systems

You have a completed university degree (FH Diploma / Bachelor) in the fields of civil engineering, mobility management, transport engineering or a comparable qualification You already have first professional experience in the road traffic survey as well as in the performance and safety analysis of road networks, also from internships or student work activities Ideally you have the expertise of StVO, traffic planning and Knowledge of construction and traffic management (including the creation of traffic regulations) and contract law (VOB / HOAI, ZTVen) are advantageous.
