You work in the weight management and lightweight construction department, which coordinates all development activities for the vehicles of the A-, B-, C-, E-, S-Class and electric vehicles from the concept book to the lifecycle end. You work in a group of about 3 interns. With increasing requirements for the environmental compatibility of vehicles, the importance of lightweight construction in the development of cars is also increasing steadily. The team is engaged in the creation and derivation of weight targets of the vehicles and electric vehicles of the new S-/E/C/GLC class for the coming years until 2035 and with the weight control of current prototypes. The implementation and identification of lightweight construction strategies and predictive controlling of the weight profiles play a central role. These challenges include: Evaluation and processing of results of vehicle weighing Track and review of weight-relevant lightweight construction measures Participation in the preparation and implementation of weight claws and the competitive analysis At Hospitanzen you will experience our production, the museum, a real crash, wind tunnel, climate channel and vehicle testing on the test track
