In the 1st year of study you acquire the basics of electrical engineering. In the 2nd and 3rd years, you will deepen your knowledge of energy and environmental technology – the focus of our field of activity. The theoretical part at the DHBW Mannheim and the practical phases at us alternate in the 3-month rhythm. The study starts with the first practical phase with us, the following years start each with the theory block. After 3 years, the Bachelor of Engineering with 210 ECTS points is completed. In the practical phases, you will accompany the building technology and learn the necessary technical knowledge and the processes to accompany electrotechnical construction projects on your own. In addition to the basics of electrical engineering, we provide you with specific expertise that is required to process our projects. You will learn to work with technical calculation and tendering programs and to create CAD drawings. You pass through all processes within GBG's home technology and gain insights into other departments and companies of the group. During the practical phases, you will find the following topics: Planning of counter distributions, power supply systems and electrical systems in buildings according to TAB, DIN and VDE regulations as well as multimedia networks, building automation and smarthome systems Development of supply networks for renewable energies, e.g. PV systems, tenant power models and e-mobility Creation of performance directories according to VOB and execution plans (CAD) Technical management during the execution phase Accounting of technical services Monitoring of test intervals and initiation of checks under traffic control obligations Admission and settlement of maintenance work Maintenance and installation support in building operation
