UP welder

• Underpowder welding (UP) on components and constructions according to the drawing
• Set up and operate the UP welding systems
• Ensuring weld quality according to applicable standards
• Conducting inspections and finishing of welds
• Compliance with work safety and quality requirements

UP welder

• Completed training as a welder, metal builder, construction mechanic (m/w/d) or comparable qualification
• Valid welding pass in the UP method (underpowder welding) is absolutely necessary
• Professional experience in UP welding, ideally in steel or plant construction
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Reliability, teamability and independent operation
• readiness for shiftwork (if necessary)

UP welder Working methods & mentality

• High self-responsibility and independent working, including in recurring activities
• Care and precision – UP welds require high dimensional accuracy, defects are often visible only after material testing
• Loadability, as the work is physically demanding (heat, standing, possibly layered)
• A sense of responsibility in handling safety-relevant components (e.g. in steel or plant construction) Team skills and communication
• Team skills, as UP welding work often takes place in conjunction with other structures (preparation, quality control, logistics)
• Basic knowledge of German (orally/written) for understanding safety instructions and technical drawings – level A2/B1 should be sufficient, depending on customer requirements
• Ready to reliably implement instructions from pre-workers/shift managers Reliability & flexibility
