As part of the DHBW-IT, you take over the technical and organizational management of the location unit Karlsruhe (previously IT service center) and run the team in the operating daily business. You report directly to the DHBW-IT (Director*in DHBW-IT / CIO) and are a member of the DHBW-IT service meeting. You coordinate and control the central IT support processes for employees, teachers and students and provide service-oriented support. You actively shape the development of high-school DHBW IT: You work in cross-site teams and work on common standards, processes and services. You conduct the DHBW-wide competence centers located in Karlsruhe (space and resource planning/RAPLA, application management for teacher/teach, remote desktop service) and develop them as services for all study academies. You are responsible for the planning, implementation and further development of the location-related IT infrastructure (including clients, networks, servers, collaboration and communication solutions) in dialogue with the participating organizational units and cooperate with the central services of the DHBW IT. You provide a stable and secure IT operation with your team, participate in the IT strategy of the university and represent the concerns of the Studienakademie Karlsruhe. You develop IT service processes and ensure their documentation and standardization. You implement the requirements of information security and data protection and sensitize the users for safe handling of IT systems. You advise the management of the study academy and departments on IT issues, introduce their own suggestions for improvement, support projects of digital transformation and represent the DHBW IT in the local IT advisory board. You contribute to budget planning and procurement within the framework of DHBW-IT, including tendering and award procedures. You have the chance to shape the construction of the new DHBW IT from the beginning.

You have completed university studies (master or equivalent) in the field of computer science, business informatics or in a comparable field; Alternatively, you can prove a Bachelor's degree in the above-mentioned areas with at least three years of practical experience. You already bring leadership experience, ideally multi-year, in the management or coordination of IT areas or IT support units. You know current technologies and developments in the fields of IT infrastructure, IT service management and digitalization and are committed to this goal. You have a well-founded knowledge of IT service management and apply it in the design and optimization of processes. You are empathic, communicate address-oriented and value-estimating, translate technical content for non-technical target groups and work together with different status groups. You work independently, structured and reliable and keep an overview even in complex situations.
