IT Architect Software Management (m/f/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With more than 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security. Together with us, we are concerned about the future digital capability of the Bundeswehr. IT Architect Software Management (m/w/d) from November and in full time in Berlin, Bonn, Meckenheim or Munich, as an alternative to one of our BWI locations. Within the Digital Workplace division, the Software & Mobility Management department is responsible for the technical new and further development of the services offered by BWI GmbH for software on the Windows Client, as well as for stationary and mobile workstation systems or Devices, associated communications services and backend infrastructures. The architecture team Software Management is responsible for the technical new and further development in the field of software on the Windows Client. Among other things, the client software products of Microsoft, Adobe, IBM and HCL fall into our task area.

Analysis and configuration of new software products and creation of software package specifications

Coordination of technical areas involved in software deployment

Ensuring a high quality of the products used during transfer to the plant taking into account the BSI safety requirements

Ensuring the interoperability of the service and consulting the responsible service managers with regard to the further development of the software strategy

Development of test concepts including their preparation for test automation with OpenText ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)

Self-employed development of technical solutions including responsibility for the design and build phase during service development

Support of 2nd level support including control of manufacturer communication for the responsible products Further development of the standard software service for Windows clients

Complete study or training as a specialist system integration

At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in software analysis for standard applications, as well as experience in IT architecture, taking into account BSI security requirements

experience in the analysis of technical requirements and the creation of installation specifications or Test cases

Deep knowledge in bundling (MSI, SCCM) and in automating with script languages (e.g. PowerShell)

Experience in handling Atlassian Jira and ITSM tools

An independent, solution-oriented and dedicated way of working, and willingness to learn

ITIL Foundation Certification
