The Chair of Medical Information Technology is part of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. The chair is also part of the cross-faculty Helmholtz Institute for Biomedical Engineering. Main areas of work: Automation technology for medicine, physiological measurement technology, portable medical technology (Personal Health Care). Participation in the BMWi ZIM project: „BiMobil“ Medical questioning/objection: How can a portable multi-sensory system of PPG, bioimpedance and motion sensors analyze venous hemodynamics during the Venous muscle pump test by signal processing and data fusion to detect an increased risk of thrombosis at an early stage and to enable personalized prevention and training measures? Methodology/Tools: Multisensory measuring sleeve with PPG sensors, bioimpedance module and 6 axis IMU; Signal processing (bandpass, low-pass, Savitzky-Golay filter), FFT-based impedance evaluation, motion analysis with Madgwick/Kalman filter; multimodal sensor fusion, adaptive artifact compensation, laboratory and field tests, test data analysis, app-based evaluation and clinical validation.

• Higher education (master or comparable) of electrical engineering, medical technology, physics, mechanical engineering with above average degree

There is the possibility to extend for another 2 years. The temporary employment is carried out within the framework of the time-limits of the science-time contract law. It is a full-time job.
