for our women's clinic

As a priority provider, the City Hospital Kiel GmbH supplies around 26,000 patients annually as well as more than 46,000 patients outpatiently. The house has ten medical departments, other functional departments, a service department and a medical care center. We employ around 2,300 employees and implement over EUR 170 million each year.

In the women's clinic with a staff key of 1-7-10.5, more than 5,000 patients are treated in a stationary manner and approx. 2200 operations performed. We cover the entire spectrum of gynecology and offer various specialty hours, e.g. for dysplasia, myomas, pelvic floor and endometriosis. For more than 30 years, we have been working successfully with a highly motivated, freelance midwives team. This makes our Kreißsaal with approx. 1600 births of one of the most birthplaces of Schleswig-Holstein. Together with the children's clinic, we are certified as a Perinatal Center Level II.

In the field of female medicine, our focus is on minimally invasive surgery and the treatment of gynecological cancers. Since 2014, the clinic has been certified as a Gynaecological Cancer Center by the German Cancer Society and OnkoZert. Another focus is incontinence and pelvic floor surgery. Modern vaginal and laparoscopic therapy procedures are offered. A urodynamic measuring station is available.In addition, the Frauenklinik works as the first gynecological clinic in Germany with the Versius OP robot system for complex laparoscopic interventions.

The chief physician, with his senior physicians, has the full powers of further education for gynecology and childbirth aid, gynecological oncology and special birth aid and perinatal medicine.

Varied and challenging – your area of responsibility is diverse.

• Implementation of (uro-) gynecological and oncological operations in the form of abdominal and vaginal operations as well as minimally invasive procedures
• In the ambulance, you supervise assistant physicians (m/w/d) in the diagnosis, consulting and operation of the gynecological and birth-assisted patients in the speaking hours
• Care of oncological patients, as well as the planning and application of chemotherapy and antibody therapy
• In the Kreißsaal, you can support the family team with spontaneous and vaginal escapes and Sectiones
• In exchange with the other senior physicians (m/w/d) of the department you regularly change between the gynecological and the birth control department
• In the absence of the head physician (m/w/d), you take over his representation and ensure the professional, organizational and human leadership of the department
