Port Strategy Manager

We accompany the further development of the HPA and the port in conceptual and strategic questions. We help to shape the future business model internally in such a way that HPA can continue to establish itself as a sustainable, successful company and react appropriately to market developments. For this purpose, we support the management, top management and HPA divisions as consultants. • You conduct interdisciplinary, harbour-strategic projects and focus on the targeted management of internal and external team members. • Your tasks include overarching coordination of projects with regard to economic and financial aspects. • In addition, you analyze and evaluate the impact of current challenges and opportunities for the Port of Hamburg and illuminate transformation paths for the entire port ecosystem. • In close cooperation with the Business Analytics Team, you will have a strategic view of the global and local trade volume and impact on selected industries. • You carry out competitive analyses and international competitive positioning (including benchmarks on port costs); Monitoring of expansions, M&A). • In your role, you take care of building trusted relationships with important stakeholders from the maritime economy and politics. • You will also set up decision templates, position papers and opinions for internal and external stakeholders and provide workshops to discuss strategic issues. • You bring a scientific university degree in economics or political sciences or another relevant field of study. • Your profile is complemented by several years of experience in (strategy) consulting and in business / corporate development as well as by good industry knowledge of the maritime economy. • For this role, you will bring significant knowledge of the global economic and economic policies. • With the help of your diplomatic skills, you can easily coordinate tasks from the fields of politics, business, administration and science. • Through your good communication and presentation skills, you will structure complex problems, develop solutions and deliver them to the address. • Your strength is visionary thinking: You think strategically, anticipate industry trends and develop innovative solutions. • You are persuasive, self-initiative and customer-oriented.
