What can't be missing from a smartphone? Exactly, the microchip – the heart of any electronically controlled system. About 80 percent of all microchips worldwide are manufactured using ZEISS technologies. ZEISS is a technology leader in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. In the Qualification Processes Illuminator group of the ZEISS division Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology, we form the future of semiconductor lithography together with the development of acceptance processes for illumination optics (Illuminator). We accompany the products from product development, production and operation with the customer. For this we work with many specialist departments in the team, coordinate the requirements and solutions and develop the qualification processes from the software to test stands. They lead a development group with about 10 – 15 employees for mechatronic and dynamic training processes with a focus on the Illuminator

They are responsible for the design, development and documentation of algorithm-based processes for the mechatronic and dynamic qualification of high-performance optics.

They actively promote the continuous and strategic development of the group and its employees as well as the roadmap work

They identify and plan the necessary skills and resources of the group and provide them

They lead, coach and develop their employees

They are constantly working to reduce the cost of processes, increase the convergence of processes and release manufacturing processes

They ensure professional documentation, reviews and reporting of development results

They ensure the patent strategy within the sphere of responsibility

You have a very good university degree in the field of engineering and natural science (Mechatronics, techn. Kybernetik or a similar degree course), a doctorate is advantageous

They have knowledge in the field of control technology, electrical engineering and electronics, in particular in the field of system qualification

They have strong leadership skills, proven by experience in (lateral) leadership of teams or projects

They have an independent and structured way of working with a very high self-initiative, strong analytical skills, and a high degree of reliability

It stands out for a high team capacity, a challenging, safe and friendly appearance as well as a high self-motivation and commitment
